"Amazing harmonies - you'd think they were brothers!”

Peter O’Donnell and Geoffrey Sapsford have both performed in a variety of bands and have a wealth of professional experience between them in various genres of music, recently coming together as O’Donnell & Sapsford to perform as a duo.

Many of the top acts of the 1960s were heavily influenced by the close-harmony singing and acoustic guitar playing of the Everly Brothers, including the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel.

Accompanied by piano and guitar or two guitars (authentic Epiphones, the same as the Everly Brothers) O’Donnell and Sapsford arrange and perform a large repertoire of harmony-based songs utilising their respective vocal ranges.

The Everly Brothers hold the record for the most top 17 singles by any duo including big hits such as Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Dream etc. As well as covering most of their material, O’Donnell & Sapsford also perform songs by Simon and Garfunkel, Rod Stewart, The Walker Brothers, Elton John, Dylan, Dr John and others and as songwriters themselves they seamlessly continue to add their own original music to their repertoire of covers.

O’Donnell & Sapsford play together and sound just like their counterparts which will satisfy the purists who want to see a tribute act, but their close friendship and range of additional material also adds an element of fun, which should make for an entertaining evening for all.
